Carolyn Jao

I've honed my skills from start-ups to large companies like Yodle (Later Web.com), Greenhouse and Audible, an Amazon Company. I’m passionate about research-driven, participatory design practices and thrive in navigating thorny ecosystems. My career has mostly been focused on designing B2B enterprise software, specifically in the recruiting and audio publishing space.

Prior to my current role at Audible, I was the design lead for structured and high volume onboarding at Greenhouse. In 2019, I joined Audible’s Creator UX team, where I focused on elevating experiences for publishers, authors, and narrators.

Today, I'm managing a team of designers responsible for Audible’s Core Mobile App Experience work streams. I also teach part-time at SVA’s MFA Interaction Design Program.
